Where does the company name LE KLINT originate from?

Tage Klint founded the company LE KLINT in 1943. His
youngest daugther was named Lise Le Charlotte Klint with a salute to his brother’s
(Kaare Klint) first wife, Magdalena, who was always called Le. She died in an
early age of disease.The company name LE KLINT is named after the middle name Le and the family name Klint. The photo to the left: Kaare Klint and his first wife Le (Magdalena) who inspired Tage Klint to name his daughter Lise Le Charlotte Klint.

The LAMELLA lighting collection is inspired by the delicate pleats on the underside of mushroom caps commonly known as lamella. Modern design and at the same time a timeless classic.

The series is made using the PLICA technique which is an old production technique. LAMELLA is designed by the talented designer-duo Takagi & Homstvedt.
